THE MANAGING DIRECTOR LEONARDO PERLA ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT OF THE ITALIAN-SLOVAK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Immergas Europe: "mission accomplished". Active for four years the Poprad plant in Slovakia.

Poprad (SK) June 26th, 2012 – The development plan launched in 2006 by Immerfin to give an international production dimension to Immergas in Brescello has fully reached its goals: "There are markets which require a local production presence and Immergas Europe, thanks to its Slovak plant, has opened new and concrete opportunities in the growing neighbor markets (Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland but also in the more distant ones such as Iran, Russia and China) thanks to product lines designed and realized on the basis of the specific exigencies of those countries". After four years from the inauguration of Poprad plant in the considerations of Alfredo Amadei, Immergas Vice President, there is the consciousness that the positive trend started by Immergas Europe will continue: the turnover has passed from 6 million Euros in 2008 to 29 millions in 2011 and 2012 forecast leads the sales over 30 millions.

The sales are increasing, even in the first months of 2012, and balance the downturns registered by other markets where the economic crisis weights on the real estate sector and on the home supplies. Immerfin growing line, firmly maintaining in Italy its heart and brain, points also towards new horizons and new production plants abroad are not to be excluded where Immergas production know how can represent an important competitive advantage.

The productivity of the Slovak plant is high: 75 thousand boilers in 2009 has become 120 thousand in 2011. The 2012 forecast brings the production to 130 thousand boilers. "Our investment in Slovakia – comments  Alfredo Amadei – has been rapidly repaid thanks to the support that the companies can find in a really "investor friendly" country system (tax breaks and incentives on the opening of new firms with very fast activation times) but also thanks to the human resources which were formed in Poprad industrial district with the presence of big multinational companies". It was enough one year of "building site" to get to September 9th, 2009 when Poprad plant was inaugurated. "It was an important investment: 5 million Euros – adds Alfredo Amadei – on an area of 8 thousand square meters we have realized a production unit articulated on 200 meters of offices, 3000 dedicate to the production and 5000 to warehouse and logistics". Today the production lines in Poprad are 3, employed with a capacity of over 500 pieces per day, producing Star, Julius, Caesar, Super Caesar ranges and the plant has achieved the ISO 9001:2008 certification released by the prestigious authority TUV Italia.

Since when the President Romano Amadei settled, after careful analysis, "in the heart of Europe" the first production plant out of the national borders of Immerfin, follows the development of Immergas Europe the Managing Director Leonardo Perla. "We are meeting important results – explains Perla – which can be defined consolidated. The number of employees has grown from 40 in 2008 to about 100 in 2012. They are young and technically prepared. The production quality level is high. The Star and Julius/Caesar lines are equipped with test appliances set on the quality standards of the Italian mother company but with the competitive advantages that the Slovak country system guarantees and this aspect, with the widespread presence of subsidiaries in the whole area served by the Slovak productions, is surely a great business card".

In confirmation of the role which Immergas Europe has obtained in almost four years of presence in Slovakia, Leonardo Perla in the capital Bratislava was elected Vice President and member of the executive council of the Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce (CCIS). The Italian-Slovak Chamber of Commerce is a bilateral nonprofit non-governmental international organization. Officially recognized by the Ministry of the Economic Development, it is member of Assocamerestero, the association that reunites the Italian Chambers of Commerce abroad in synergy with Unioncamere.
